Monster Daycare
Monster Daycare is an arcade-style daycare management game where the player must satisfy the needs of the monster baby of their choice to earn cash, or fail and be killed by the child they are helping to raise. This project was developed by Scrap Moth Studios under the University of Central Florida.
Role: Level Designer

Engine: Unity
For this game, I needed to design a small area where the player could easily move from one end of the house to the next, while also providing a first time challenge of locating the necessary items. I also needed to work with mobile limitations in mind which was very new to me.
The size of the daycare mattered a lot because it contributed directly to the difficulty of the game. Frequently I'd need to adjust where key items would be due to how long it would take the player to get to it and return to the baby.

I felt that from this game I got a better understanding of space management as well as the ability to work within a more simplistic environment while still making it partially true to real daycares.
