When the Crow Sings (W.I.P.)
When the Crow Sings is a narrative adventure game with light stealth elements where Chance must learn about his new surroundings in order to uncover the mystery of Westend Falls and survive. This project was developed by Safe Haven Studios under the University of Central Florida.
Role: Level Designer
Duration: 8 Months
Team Size: 15 People
Engine: Unity
For this game I was tasked with creating the final set piece zone that will change throughout the game
as well as the clinic, power control,
and the main character's room that the player is able to visit
throughout the game.

I designed the outdoor level with the idea of it connecting to the other outdoor levels in mind, with the connecting parts being visible and looking like they naturally fit together. I also made to make the area "progress" between days with the corruption spreading through the zone to make the final chase path.

For the indoor spaces, I had to make sure they were thematic to the character living in them, with clutter and lighting that would match the atmosphere best and would tell the player about the character just by looking around.

From this game I've gained a much greater knowledge on creating levels that change over the course of the game as well as designing areas that naturally connect to the world and tell a story with visuals.
